About Darlin Dominic

With over 14 years of hands-on experience in Auckland's residential construction industry, I have developed a comprehensive skill set that spans carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, flooring, roofing, and HVAC installations. My journey began in the 1990s when I earned a qualification in Electrical Engineering. After completing my qualification, I transitioned into the construction industry in 2008, starting as an apprentice and progressing through various roles to project management. This progression allowed me to gain in-depth knowledge of building regulations and compliance.

In addition to my engineering background, I obtained a Building Surveying qualification in New Zealand. This qualification has been instrumental in navigating council consents, Code Compliance Certificates (CCC), and Certificates of Acceptance (COA), ensuring that projects meet all regulatory standards.

I have collaborated with several construction companies and home developers as a consultant, offering guidance on compliance and regulatory matters. Whether it's resolving issues related to unconsented building work or assisting with council paperwork, I am committed to helping clients achieve the best possible outcomes. Rest assured, any discussions regarding unconsented areas will be handled with the utmost confidentiality, and I will guide you through the process of bringing them into compliance if feasible.

Currently, I hold an active electrical license and have extensive experience in carpentry, having spent over six years on the tools. This combination of qualifications and practical experience allows me to offer well-rounded advice and solutions to clients.

As the director of Healthy Homes, I lead a team dedicated to assisting homeowners, investors, and first-time buyers with their construction needs. Whether it's conducting pre-purchase building inspections, advising on property investments, or guiding clients through the construction process, our goal is to provide clear, reliable, and practical support.
